Hello! My name is Manoj Kumar Paudel. I was born on April 29, 1999, and I am originally from Nepal. I am currently 26 years old and studying IT in Sapporo, Hokkaido. I enrolled at Hokkaido Japanese Language Institute Sapporo Main School in April 2022 and graduated in March 2024. After that, I continued my education at Hokkaido Cyber Creators College, where I am currently enrolled and expecting to graduate in March 2026.
I chose to come to Japan because Japanese IT technology is recognized as world-class, and I believed Japan would offer an ideal environment for practical, hands-on learning. I was particularly drawn to Japanese work culture, which emphasizes teamwork and collaboration to achieve shared goals. Beyond technology, I have a deep fascination with both traditional and contemporary Japanese culture, and I wanted to experience and understand it more deeply by living here. Through studying and working in Japan, I aim to grow not only as an IT professional but also as a person with broader perspectives and skills.
I chose IT as my career path because I have had a strong passion for computers since childhood. I have always found great satisfaction in creating things and solving problems logically using technology. Today, IT is utilized globally and drives innovation across diverse fields including healthcare, education, business, and environmental solutions. I am convinced that IT knowledge and skills will become increasingly essential in the future. I chose this path with a strong desire to use the power of IT to enrich people's lives and make meaningful contributions to society as a whole.
I have a strong passion for system development and web application development. At school, I have learned technologies such as Java, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL, and I am also working on database design and server environment configuration. In web application development, I have acquired skills in both frontend and backend technologies, building practical expertise. I successfully passed the Oracle Java SE Bronze certification exam, which helped me solidify my programming fundamentals.
As a team leader in a school project, I led the development of an SNS website. In this project, I implemented user registration, posting, and commenting features using PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Leading the team through the project taught me the importance of teamwork and communication, and I developed the ability to think flexibly and persistently when facing difficult challenges. Additionally, I have developed personal projects including a Salary Tracker System for employee attendance and payroll management, and a Portfolio Website showcasing my skills and projects. Through these experiences, I have gained practical development skills close to real-world applications.
While studying at the Japanese language school, I served as the leader of a volunteer club, actively participating in community service activities such as organizing and managing local cleanup events. I also worked at a convenience store in Japan for three years, where I learned customer service etiquette and workplace protocols, gaining a deep understanding of Japanese work culture and practices.
I can speak four languages: Japanese, English, Nepali, and Hindi. I have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test at N3 level and achieved a score of 845 on the TOEIC Listening & Reading Test. I aim to leverage these multilingual communication skills to thrive in a global environment. My goal is to contribute to society as an IT engineer by utilizing the technical skills I have acquired and my multilingual communication abilities through system development. With a curious mindset and a commitment to seeing things through to completion, I strive to continue growing professionally.
Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction.
